Projects Here and There

With Spring here and the Summer quickly approaching (For theatre, think of Summer as the Winter is coming and all of the preparation needed in GAME OF THRONES), I have decided to take on some other projects while choreographing and pre-planning my summer shows.

Burlesque

I am so excited for the SE School of Movements first production. Sariah is my Aerial Silks instructor and she has been a huge rock and supporter for me while in Pagosa Springs. She pulled together a bunch of Pagosians and put together an amazing event for Pagosa Springs. Come check out my Sound Design for the Burlesque Show March 18 & 19 at the Pagosa Springs Center of the Arts.

Legally Blonde

I couldn't feel more fulfilled with this one! I have teamed up with Dale Johnson at Pagosa Springs High School as their Guest Choreographer for three production numbers in Legally Blonde, the Musical. Dale has been the staple for bringing theatre to the community for the past 20 years and this marks her 16th production for the high school. Since I started in high school drama and community theatre, it has been a full circle moment for me being able to give back to the potential future for where theatre will be in 20 years. Come support and see the amazing young artists in Legally Blonde, the Musical March 29-April 2nd at the Pagosa Springs High School.

Guest Artist Workshop

Lend Me a TenorMy first Workshop Series! I am so thrilled to be working at Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO this April. I will be teaching a two part dance workshop that incorporates an individual character's journey throughout ensemble dancing. I will be using the awesome finale to HAIR, the Musical "The Flesh Failures/Let the Sunshine In". I previously used this series while teaching in Italy for my three month artistic residency as a performer. I can't wait to revisit this thought process and analysis with the college students. Shout out to Dennis Elkins who made this dream of mine come true. (Dennis Elkins is the Head of the Department for Theatre at Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. He and I have worked together on and they will be working closely with Cabaret at Thingamajig Theatre Company Summer 2016).
